Bride Nicole loves New Orleans and wanted to style her wedding to have that “Laissez les bons temps rouler” feel, but with an elegant twist. We worked with Jon Martinez at Bloom to come up with exactly that. The sunset ceremony was filled with color as Nicole and Chris married under a custom built arbor. Guests entered the ballroom at American Village, and found a reception that was filled with dark blue and purple, as gorgeous royal blue satin draped the walls, which only intensified the lush flowers and linens. Bride and groom made their entrance following the bridal party as they formed a Second Line lead by the members of the Big Greasy Brass Band. Catering for this amazing event was provided by the great team at The Happy Catering Company, and there were 5 stations with everything from Asian delicacies, to BBQ Nachos, to Crab cakes and Shrimp, They even provided New Orleans style Hurricanes! And for dessert, one cake was simply not enough, so we had a fabulous brides cake made by Sweet Magnolia – Cakes for all occasions!, a “Death Valley Cake” made by Sweet Spot Confections and to top it all off a French pastry and coffee station. Lighting was provided by A.G. Lighting LLC, and photos by Arden Photography.
