Kathryn & Hunter were an amazing 2019 couple of ours and I am thrilled to have them on the blog today. I worked with Kathryn & her parents for full planning & design for this amazing wedding. I even got to be in on the engagement! That was a first, and it was so fun & exciting!
Kathryn & I settled on a classic wedding with a modern twist. She really loved cleaner lines and a more formal feeling. Our black & white vibe with accents of gold, & green really drove our overall look. Hunter was changing jobs and moving, Kathryn was transitioning from her current job and moving as well so to manage the overall project full planning really made the most sense for them. As a full planning client, we spearheaded the overall design plan, layout, and visual direction, as well as bringing a great vendor team together to execute a fantastic day, and then later in the process, we executed all the paper pieces, logistics & of course the big day!
Kathryn had the calmest demeanor all day at her wedding. I was really in awe of it. Kathryn truly had such a peace and calm that was really so beautiful. Their focus was so on their marriage, entered around Christ and entering into a Holy union. It was really inspiring.
Followed by this joyful ceremony, the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour while our vendor team flipped the ceremony space to get ready for the band to bring it! It was important to Kathryn, her parents, & Hunter that they had a wonderful band, & great guest experience. We drew inspiration from their mission work in China for their menu, and as a surprise to Kathryn’s dad we brought out brownies, & ice cream–a Hardman family favorite! The guests danced the night away & we sent off our new Mr. & Mrs to married bliss.
It was such a pleasure to work with Kathryn, her family, and Hunter through the planning process. Full planning really creates these beautiful, meaningful relationships since we spend so much time together. They are a blessing to the MVE team & we are so thrilled to share today on the blog.
