Jennifer & Daniel’s Love Story: Birmingham, Alabama

May 13, 2016 | 0 comments

Double wedding weekend continues with Jennifer & Daniel. This one is super special to me personally because I have known Jennifer for almost 9 years. My mother in law and her mom are best friends, and they are like our family. We couldn’t be happier to serve Jennifer in this way and help them through their planning process. We are so thrilled to work with The Barn at Shady Lane, Happy Catering, Simple Color Photography, and Lillie Jane’s on this wonderful event. Jennifer you are a dear friend, and I feel so honored you trusted us with your big day. It has been a pleasure to watch your relationship walk in faith and I couldn’t be happier for you(even if you are Auburn fans;)!

Hope you enjoy Jennifer & Daniel’s story!

How did you meet?

Daniel and I met through my roommate on the sorority hall at Auburn.  Even though we both are from the same town and even went to the same high school for one year, we didn’t meet until college.  We were good friends for over a year before we started dating.  Our relationship has endured graduating college, multiple job changes, multiple moves, and now renovating a house!

What has been your favorite date together?

Daniel has always been my favorite Auburn gameday date!  Even if we can’t be in our favorite town to cheer the Tigers on, we have always enjoyed our game days with one another.

What was the proposal story?

Daniel and I planned a date night to spend some time together before he began a busy season at work.  At the time, he was in the middle of buying a house.  When he picked me up that evening, he told me something had come up at the house and insisted that we go there before dinner.  However, when we got up to the house, no one was there.  He didn’t own the house yet so there was no way to get in the house, but Daniel still suggested that we go inside.  Magically, the lights were all on and the door was unlocked.  The owner had kindly let Daniel in that day to set up everything for our engagement!  We walked through the house and on to the back deck where Daniel got on one knee and proposed.  We then went on to dinner where he had invited some of our closest friends to celebrate!

What is your favorite thing to do together?

We love to travel together and visit Auburn anytime we can.  Daniel and I love to go out to eat and try new restaurants.

What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day?

We are so excited to celebrate with the ones we love the most on our wedding day- the people who have supported us, have had faith in us, and have prayed for us throughout our (long) journey to our big day!
